In what is now an annual event, the Jambowlree is a worldwide, fun, 10-pin bowling competition for Beaver, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders. It's been a perfect chance to get all members of the Group taking part and is great fun.

Calling all sections of Gordon District Scouts
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Leaders
You are invited to take part in the District annual 10 pin bowling competition in conjunction with Jambowlree – a Global Scout competition. (covers part of the Scottish Thistle award).
When the global competition ends at the end of May we will be able to log onto the Jambowlree website and see our placings. Last year Gordon district shield winners were
Beaver team - Kintore came 104th from 209 teams,
Cubs team were Daviot Oldmeldrum 116th from 360 teams,
Scouts - Insch 118th from 313
Insch Explorers won the district competition but not entered in the global competition.
We have booked all lanes from 10am – 7pm. Costs will be same as last year £33/team. Please aim to have 6 in a team. If you wish to enter a team please email me with the number of teams and if you have a preferred times (although popular times do fill up fast). Payment to go to Janice Moore, district Treasurer, Kirkton Cottage, Oyne, INSCH, Aberdeenshire. AB52 6QU by Friday 14 February.
A section leader is required to attend with your section/unit and is responsible for intouch. Photos will be taken on the day – Please highlight to myself if you have any members unable to be photographed. To save time on the day it is helpful if you have your teams written down ready to input into the bowling computer.
Caroline Campbell, District Adult training Commissioner aims to be in attendance if any leaders requires validation with their training modules.
