Beaver Fun Day 2011

In a reasonably pleasant day at Daviot a family turns up to have a quiet family picnic at the stone circle. Oh dear! What they weren't expecting was the place to be filled with 264 Beavers and 99 adults joining them.

I hope they still had a good day! The Beavers certainly did as it was yet another great Fun Day, organised by Lynne Spencer and Marg Turriff, with a brilliant variety of bases run by the Colony Leaders and a good many others. From archery to catapults; various crafts to bouncy slides; rope climbing to being inside a bubble; jousting to smoothie making; water slides to dancing; bridge walking to giant skateboards; giant footballs to hockey; pancakes to super-soakers; lif size table football to punchbags; plate spinning to sumo wrestling; blindfold trails to face painting. That's the ones I can think of off the top of my head just now. A fair variety indeed. A great day and MASSIVE thanks to Lynne, Marg and all the Beaver Leaders and helpers and also to Gordon Network and Kintore Scouts. Everyone tired and happy - and the Beavers were too!
