"Carols by Campfire"
The Insch Scout Group and Explorer Unit held their fourth annual "Carols by Campfire" concert at the Insch Church of Scotland on Saturday 10th December.
The beavers did the nativity story aided by a number of the cubs with the carols being led by members of the scouts and explorers. Members of the sections entertained the congregation with a number of musical items including renditions from bagpipes and violins and the explorers sang the carol Silent Night in French, German and English.
Following the service there was festive fayre in the way of mince pies and shortbread with mulled wine far all who attended.
In previous years there has been a collection taken which has been donated to charities helping children in South Africa and Malawi. This year it was decided to do something a little more local and it was decided that the nominated charity would be CHAS (Children's Hospice Association Scotland) who provide respite care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. The collection raised just over £300.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, took part and helped out in any way.
